Paint the Valley Beautiful!
Paint West Valley is a vibrant community-driven initiative dedicated to beautifying the West Valley. Led by the Community Benefit Foundation (CBF) of the West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce, this long-standing mission is now expanding to transform L.A.D.O.T. utility boxes into works of public art.
Local nonprofits, businesses, service clubs, and community stakeholders are invited to participate by sponsoring and designing these installations. Grants are available to cover all material costs, making it easy for the entire community to get involved. Once completed, each utility box is professionally coated with anti-graffiti protection and maintained monthly by CBF—ensuring lasting beauty and pride throughout our neighborhoods.
How It Works:
STEP 1:
Submit a sponsorship or a design to the Paint West Valley committee. We use local artists who can design a new box, paint their design or use your design.
STEP 2:
Pick a utility box in the West Valley that is available. No box location is guaranteed. We must wait for L.A. City to grant us the permission to commence painting.
STEP 3:
After the committee approves the design , we submit to Council District and L.A.D.O.T. Once the city approves our submission we can then precede to paint the box.
STEP 4:
Artists paint and our maintenance team then anti graffiti coat the finished artwork and we stencil the box Paint West Valley.
STEP 5:
We will support you for a ribbon cutting so the community can see the beatiful artwork.
STEP 6:
Have your box displayed in the community every day 🙂
